Our mandate
Canada deserves a ledger of record, not another directory of opinions.
Provincial regulatory data is the most authoritative information that exists about a licensed professional — and it is also fragmented, dull, and functionally inaccessible to the people who need it. It lives in disconnected registers, behind clumsy search forms, in formats built for institutions rather than citizens.
Meanwhile, the public square has filled with unverified reviews: anonymous sentiment with no tie to credential, license, or accountability. A five-star rating tells you how someone felt; it does not tell you whether the professional is licensed, in good standing, and who they say they are.
KYP exists to invert that. We transform raw government data into an authoritative digital identity — a standardized, factual record for every regulated professional. We sell integrity, never visibility. Payment cannot buy a higher position, a better rating, or a promoted placement, because none of those things exist here.
This is a deliberate constraint. The moment a registry begins selling exposure, it stops being a ledger and becomes a marketplace — and its records stop meaning anything. Our refusal to sell advertising is not a limitation of the model; it is the model.
Your autonomy
Inclusion in a public ledger should never feel like a trap. Any professional may request removal at any time, for any reason or none. We confirm via the official registry email and then the record ceases to exist on the platform.
